TAHKO MOUNTAIN SKI SCHOOL
Our Ski School has 50 instructors, all of whom have completed the training provided by the Finnish National Association of Snowsport Instructors (FNASI/SHOry). Ski School is about learning new skills and unforgettable memories on the snow. Lets improve your technique, and most of all – have a great time on snow together with our skilled instructors. We offer guidance in alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, telemark and adaptive skiing for all skill levels. Our friendly and supportive instructors will be happy to help you to achieve your goals. What would you like to learn next?
The Ski School also organizes corporate events and various competitions. During holiday weeks 8-10 ski school organizes playful slope competitions for the whole family.
Werneri courses for children are organised at Christmas and New Year, during the winter holidays in weeks 8–10 and at Easter.

Participants in private lessons should be of similar skiing ability, and children should be roughly the same age. We do not recommend parents participating in the lesson together with young children.

GROUPS
Tahko Mountain offers a variety of group activities for businesses and groups. Whether it’s a company’s Well-Being Day, birthdays, or bachelor/bachelorette parties, we help plan a memorable day.
Ski School location:
The Ski School office is located in the same building as Rental SkiMac Tirol, at the bottom of Turistirinne (slope number 7). Lessons start from the Ski School Meeting Point, next to the rental shop.
Arrival by car:
We recommend parking in the ice parking lot (Tahkolaaksontie 1, follow signs to the ice parking) or the parking area next to Piazza, from where you can cross the bridge to the slope area (Sääskiniementie 560).
Ski School of the Year 2012
A member of the Finnish Ski Area Association (SHKY), Tahko Ski School was elected Ski School of the Year in 2012.

Ski School Booking and Cancellation Terms
- Ski school lessons/courses must be paid before the lesson at the Ski School office
- If you need rental equipment, please be present at least 30 minutes before the lesson starts.
- Late arrivals must be communicated to the ski school before the lesson begins.
- The ski school reserves the right to cancel the lesson if the customer is more than 10 minutes late. In such cases, the ski school is not obligated to refund the payment.
- The minimum number of participants for courses is three people.
- Cancellation of the course will be notified to the customer the day before.
- If the course does not take place, the ski school has the right to adjust the pricing to match private lesson rates.
- Reservations can be canceled free of charge 24 hours before the lesson.
- If no cancellation is made, the ski school has the right to charge the full course/lesson fee.
- Wearing a helmet is mandatory during ski school courses and lessons.
